His Excellency, the Governor of Uttarakhand, Dr. K K Paul inaugurated the conference titled “Trends, Issues and Women in Hospitality and Tourism industry”. Briefing :The two day International Seminar on Communication Technology, organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Graphic Era University, in collaboration with I.E.E.E and USERC, began at Graphic Era University on 18 November. Speaking on the inaugural day, Professor Dr. Francisko M. Gonzalis of Loughborough University, U.K. stated that the use of Information and Technology in the distribution of electricity has led to newer possibilities. Britain will use this advent of communication and technology in the field of energy and provide electricity as per the needs of the people . In the technical session speaking on Wireless Networking for smart Grid ‘A power system perspective’ Prof. Francis said that in Britain, the time of usage of the electrical devices like Washing machine, refrigerator, air conditioner, etc used by the people in their day to day life, would be recorded and accordingly the electricity would be provided to the people for their use. This will not only help in saving energy but the energy saved will be distributed to other household
On the second day of the seminar, on 19th November, 2016 Mr. Su Ko Park of Chonnam National University, Mak Sharma of Birmingham City University, U.K., Prof. S. K. Kaul from I.I.T Delhi, Prof Ashish Kumar Singh from N.N.I.T and Dr Deepak Joshi from I.I.T Delhi presented their research papers. In this two day seminar, a total of 120 national and international research papers were received out of which only 63 were shortlisted for the presentation. On the first day, a total of 32 research papers were presented. Renowned educationists from Britain, South Korea and 10 states of India participated and 63 researchers from all over the world presented their research papers.
