EPF Graduate School of Engineering, France

Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) signs the MOU with EPF Graduate School of Engineering, France. EPF, former Ecole Polytechnique Féminine (Polytechnic School for Women), was founded in 1925, as one of France’s first Grandes Ecoles to train women to be engineers. Since then, it has trained more than 11,500 graduates in every sector of industry and service. Each class has 400 students in the general curriculum.

EPF was created in 1925 and one of the first Grandes Ecoles in France whose mandate was to train women in engineering careers. Marie-Louise Paris, a women engineer, founded the school. It was then known as IEF (Institut Electromécanique Féminin) and aimed at providing training in electromechanical engineering to young girls. The school also had a short-term section to train female drafters or engineering assistants. In 1933, IEF became the Ecole Polytechnique Féminine (EPF), adding an extra academic year and an aeronautics section.

The promotion of diversity has always been in the heart of the EPF project since the beginning in 1925. Renown for the high standards of its academic programs, the school has developed a special relationship with many local institutions on the French territory and also with research centers. These tight bonds led to the opening of two new campuses. On the one hand in Troyes in 2010 and on the other hand in Montpellier in 2012.

The MOU between GEU and EPF includes:

  • Student Exchange Program;
  • Faculty Exchange Program;
  • Joint Research, Seminars and Workshops;
