EDUCATION
As an Assistant Professor at Graphic Era Hill University, I bring forth a comprehensive academic and professional journey spanning over five enriching years. My academic journey culminated in a Ph.D. in Forestry and Environmental Science, with a specialization in Eco-Physiology, Forest Seed Science, and Climate Change. Beyond the realm of academia, I am not just a researcher but also a passionate teacher, with a substantial contribution of over 80 research publications in esteemed journals and the publication of 13 patents. With a teaching and research tenure of ten years, I consistently strive to nurture the intellectual growth of my students.
Being a member of esteemed organizations such as the British Ecological Society, International Society for Development and Sustainability, and Ecological Society of America, I actively engage with the global academic community. My responsibilities extend beyond the confines of the classroom, encompassing the design, coordination, and enhancement of courses at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. I am recognized for my leadership in organizing international conferences, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and workshops. My dedication to academic and administrative responsibilities is reflected in my roles as IPR Coordinator, membership of different committees, and contributions to research projects and curriculum development.
In addition to my academic pursuits, my commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident in the diverse courses and training programs I have undertaken. These include off-campus certificate courses on topics such as Microwave Radar Remote Sensing, RS and GIS Applications in Water Resource Management, and training programs on Water Quality Issues and Social Protection in the Hill Region. I have also completed online non-credit certificate courses on Municipal Solid Waste Management, Sustainable Development Goals, and Climate Change from prestigious institutions worldwide. Further bolstering my academic journey, I proudly received a Research Award in 2019, highlighting my dedication and contributions to the field.
